You can use any BBQ Sauce for this recipe. For a tasty treat, try our Korean BBQ Sauce!

Instructions

Dried soy curls in a bowl.

Place the dry soy curls in a bowl.

Adding boiling water to the soy curls.

Cover the dried soy curls with the boiling water. Let sit for at least 10 minutes.

The soy curls after they are rehydrated and squeezed dry.

Squeeze as much liquid out of the soy curls as you can. I usually take them in small handfuls and squeeze them at least twice.

Place the drained soy curls in the pan.

Heat a cast iron skillet to medium heat. When hot, add oil. When the oil is shimmering, add in the soy curls.

The soy curls are browned.

Brown the soy curls. This should take about 10 minutes.

Mix the BBQ sauce with the soy curls.

Mix the browned soy curls with the water and the BBQ sauce.

The soy curls coated with BBQ sauce after browned.

Brown the soy culs in the sauce. This should take about 15 minutes.

Mix the soy curls with the chopped celery.

The wraps are then easy to make. Lay out your tortillas and fill them full of the BBQ Soy Curl Wrap filling!

Substitutions

The tortilla can be gluten free, whole wheat, or white. You can also eat the wrap on a bun of some sort. You can also serve this on a lettuce wrap!

Replace the celery with jicama or other crunchy vegetable!

Variations

Gie the wrap a zing by adding red pepper flakes, or hot peppers like jalapeños or Fresno chilis.

Don't want a wrap? Eat the filling over a salad or over rice.

Want some more crunch and veggies? Add Cabbage and Sauerkraut Slaw to your wrap! The wrap would also be great with lettuce, spinach, matchstick carrots.

The wrap can also be eaten with a good vegan cheese and fresh tomato.

Storage

Store the BBQ Soy Curl Wrap filling in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for up to 6 days.

The BBQ Soy Curl filling without the celery should freeze well. Just add the celery when you that out the filling. It should keep in the freezer for about 6 months.
