A lovely, healthy dessert guaranteed to surprise and please! The tartness of apple, with the richness of tahini and sweetness of date syrup make for an ineffable combination!
I can’t eat sucrose, it gives me migraine headaches, so I am often after desserts with sweeteners that I can eat, and make other people really happy.
One of the desserts we love is apple slices with tahini and date syrup.
“What?! Tahini and apples!,” I hear you cry. Yes, tahini and apples. The tartness of an apple combined with the richness of tahini and the sweetness of date syrup make for an ineffable combination!
I typically use super tart apples, such as Honeycrisp. A Granny Smith would also do quite nicely, though I like the red of the Honeycrisp to give some color.
My favorite date syrup is Date Lady!
